De Italiaanse componist Carlo Rustichelli wordt beschouwd als een van de voornaamste Italiaanse filmmuziek componisten. Zijn scoring voor cinema nam een start in 1948 toen hij regisseur Pietro Germi ontmoette. Tot op vandaag bestaat componeerde hij muziek voor zowat 200 films. Carlo Rustichelli werkte mee aan de belangrijkste films in de geschiedenis van de Italiaanse Cinema. Deze soundtrack geeft hiervan een overzicht en bevat zijn bekendste thema's. Tot zijn bekendste werken horen de films Un Giorno Da Leoni, The Four days of Napels, Un Amore A Roma. Zijn stijl van componeren bestaat eruit om zich te baseren op bekende melodieën. Deze compilatie is erg interessant en verschillende thema's zijn heel herkenbaar, soms mindere kwaliteit van de opnames, maar de knappe en interessante selectie van werken in alle genres maakt dit ruim goed.
